Hi, I'm JC Morgan!

I’m what some may call as Rebel or a Misfit. I don’t fit in and I don’t try to. I’m a little woman with piercings, tattoos, stretched ears, and that’s just my appearance. I even talk, walk, and look different than most Christians. And you know what? That’s okay. God still loves me and he loves you too.Β

1 Peter 4:8-10

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Why?

There are women who are considered different, outcasts, and forgotten in the church. These are women who may not have stepped into their calling because their personal relationship with God is either lacking or nonexistent. These are women who are in need of the strength that it takes to walk in their anointing. When they gain that strength, they walk in their anointing no matter who is around, trying to keep them from what God has for them.

Being a Christian Soul Care Coach is my calling. I enjoy it because I am able to use my skills and experiences to help other women who are in the same position in life that I was in. Life coaching was not something that I had knowledge about before I pursued it but since then, I have learned so much that I have applied to my methods of helping people that I was already helping. What I love about it is that I am able to let God use me to help others grow deeper in him.

Romans 8:26-28

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 2And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

My Story

I grew up in the church and I have always felt different. My mom had my sister and me in the church 24/7. I was all churched out. So, I left mentally when I was about 13 years old. Of course, I couldn’t physically leave until my Mom decided to leave for her own personal reasons. I left because I started questioning Christianity as a whole and everyone refused to answer my questions. I was told that I was questioning God. The thing is, building our own personal relationship with God is not something I remember being taught. Not by the Church anyway. It was something my Grandma would tell me but I wanted to hear it from the Leaders because we were taught that the leaders were the chosen ones who we were supposed to rely on to save our souls.

I expected them to have all the answers. They didn’t give me a single answer which wasn’t good enough for me. So, I happily walked away and did not look back. I still believed in a Higher Power or God but I was angry at him. I stayed that way for decades. My refusal to step into another Church was on a great level. Although, I made exceptions for funerals which was often for a while.

I started to dive in and learn about every religion there was. Even ancient ones. I just didn’t want to be Christian anymore and I was very passionate about it. Eventually, I just started saying that I was Spiritual. I still had good moral standing but I wasn’t judging people. I wasn’t going out of my way to condemn people. I wasn’t trying to talk about people and bring drama to others. All of the things that I used to experience in Church, I was not doing those things because I was better than them. I knew better and I did better.

It took my now Husband (Minister CJ Morgan) and a new City to get me out of that thinking. I agreed to go to church with him when he would visit Churches and I would watch everything that went on. I actually began to enjoy it. It was different than what I was used to. People got along. I got to see what it was like for the Leaders of the Church. I began to realize that they were still human. They were allowed to make mistakes just like everyone. I saw that you can be a Preacher and help people grow in their Personal and Spiritual life instead of condemning people to hell every Sunday. The people he surrounded me with taught people to seek God for themselves and build their own relationships with him. They also taught people to go to God on their own behalf because everyone else can’t get them into Heaven.

In my absence from the Church, I learned A LOT. I tried a lot. In the end,Β  I still came back to Christianity with a new Mindset. I have listened to the things that have been taught and my experiences help me to see Christianity in a different light. I have a deeper understanding. I even find myself asking “That’s okay?” when I see things said or done in Church that I was only exposed to during my Spirituality kick. Christianity has definitely evolved since the old days. There are those of us who no longer look for what God can do for or give us. We look for what we can do or give to serve God and that is one of the many changes that is made when you have your own connection with God.
